Im along way from being able to give photographic advise but i would maybe take some on the ground looking up at the grills/windows etc.
Very nice clear shots though. Is it some sort of national park ? Nice to see someone hasnt trashed the place.

I like this one:

The only thing I would do different, is as humung said, and get low, with a wider angle lens and get the entire background buildings and maybe some sky behind it to give a sense of space and perspective.
The cable is bitchin! Good subject for high contrast B&W.

Nice shots. I'd have done the first one horizontally. Interesting how different the car looks with a slight change in position. I far prefer the second shot. The cable is cool.
Bodie's a ghost town. Anything that helps emphasize its isolation and emptiness would be a winner.

Bodie is a state historic park, (www.bodie.net) in a state of arrested decay. Fascinating story. It's frequently both the hottest and coldest place in California. Old silver mining town. I've got a bunch of photos, but they're all on slides :(: Guess I'll have to go back with the humongous dSLR (uh...no offense intended, H).

None taken...interesting place. Well worn path around that old car.
You know what they say about fella's with big cameras.

Bodie is a State Historic Park. If you go, you'll be surprised by the state the
park is in. It looks like people just got up from whatever they were doing and
left.
Park literature says it was a difficult place to live. Rough and tumble and
harsh weather. During the winter months, snow would pile to the top and
often higher, of a single story home. Driving into town, one of the first things
you notice is that it's surrounded by hills.
Rumbling through the cemetery, you get a view into just how hard it was.
Very few lived long lives. Too often, a very young child is buried there.
Here's a shot that gives you an idea of the number of visitors.

And another of the truck you see above.

As a visitor, you could spend hours wandering around photographing the many
artifacts.
