I had a bit too much wine granted.

I have often wondered if my prints will will turn out anything like on my screen. :dunno

I thought this is unlikey, so in the same instance I wounder if alterations are inconsequential if its gonna turn out like a dogs dinner anyway.

I asked my friend who is pretty good at explaining me through this type of neurosis.....he made it worse, said something about calibrating, software, Tiff screens, thousands of pounds OR just getting on with the dogs dinner.

Surely there is some type of easy formula that nerds have devised to compensate for this anomoly.

Any links (non-scary ones) appreciated. Any advice taken.

I use Adobe Gamma, set my monitor color profile to the sRGB profile and that's it. All my prints I've received from smug mug\EZ Prints look exactly like what I see on my screen.

Just Google every word & read ..read ..read.

There is little chance of someone typing a 3000 page essay explaining the in's & out's what you have asked. Its endless...maybe if you were to ask a specific question you might have more luck.
