Thanks, and sorry, guess they are not as common in other parts of the country:

this an Eastern Bluebird...this is the male. We put up 'bluebird houses" for them, and they will nest at least once a year in the boxes. A nice rite of spring here in NC.

Usually little birds are shot up close, but I just love this shot with the tree branches beginning to bud, it just speaks of Spring's arrival. This is one of the loveliest bird shots I've seen. Kudos. :clap

Thanks, saurora! This particular shot was likely 75ft away...but I was trying out a Canon 100-400 L lens, and I was just loving the reach of that beast!
