Hi. Please help me chose :dunno . First one, second or better none :rofl
C&C welcome. Thank you.I like them both actually. But especially the first one, doesn't give me a "porous" feel, the second one is much better that way.

Yeah, I like the second one. The first one doesn't say porous to me at all. Sure there are holes and such but it doesn't speak to me that way.
The second one however screams porous. I can see myself in there in a rain storm, yikes! Great shots.:thumb

#2 is much better for the challenge. I like the light peeking through the cracks and the texture of the roof. Nice job. :thumb

Cheers,

I personally like #1. I find #2 to be uninteresting and boring.

Cristian,

I think the second shot screams porous! From the thatched roof right down to the door which doesn't seem to close quite right. The light pouring through the walls doubles the effect. Everything seems to pass easily through this building.

I love the log cabin, not so much for the challenge, but for the fact that I've never seen one "in the flesh" as it were. As a kid I was a fan of the Laura Ingalls books & actually made a model log cabin from twigs etc for a school project. I came first & won a prize (a book token)!

The books gave you a real insight into the life of the pioneers of the 1880s but the TV series was just appalling!

Nicola, about #2 belive it or not it's real. It's in a museum yard and it is old (150+ years).
