The ring really adds to the image. Maybe you can play with cropping or colors or... but I think this one has huge potential and it is already quite nice.
Meanwhile here is a crop from the BW cup shot:
hands of time.. lifetime of memories???
Any thoughts???
This is my favorite and wow what a shot it is!!! Perfect for the theme~~ :)

#2 Hands of Time is my favorite, I also really like #1, but I would probably clone out the white line on the right of the tea cup.

Right on point. I was waiting for someone to do these hands. :D I like the one with the tea cup the best, in color. The reason why is, it feels like it has more real life. The color ads life and having the hands doing something ads context. The black and white one with the wedding band is nice too. Great texture there, but I still lean toward more "life" - color, doing something. Does she knit? Knitting needles would be good too. Nice work. :nod

I agree with Snappy, the "life" in the first one with the cup is best. Nice handling of the tones. I didn't like the sepia version, made her skin look like a lizard's! :dunno

Hi Happy!
These are lovely!
My favorite is the b/w with the wedding ring - would also look nice in sepia to bring out the colour of the ring? just a thought.
You've given the the idea to go and (finally) visit my grandmother and take my daughter with me, maybe do a oldhand/newhand kind of thing !?:dunno just wether i'll get to it before the challenge ends or anyone beats me to it!
great shots though! very worthy of entry! (and its not a clock!!!!:rofl )

I like the BW with the teacup a lot.
The structure of the skin is so delicate, what a nice shot this is.
I like the composition a lot, I saw the remark about the right white border, I suppose you could clone it out, but it does not really bug me.
So far, this must be my favorite of all the time entries at this point.

For whatever reason, the sepia just doesn't do it for me for this kind of shot. I like B/W effect a lot (this is coming from someone who regularly chooses colour over B/W! :D )
Is it possible to lower the contrast? I guess the high contrast does accentuate the age of the skin. More midtones might soften the look but still show the aged texture of the hands/skin.
Nice shots,
Regards,
Brad
