My wife purchased a T1 for point and shoot, while this camera does have red eye issues and you need a steady hand, it can produce shots like this.

Looks like a pretty good photo for a point and shoot camera. However, it's not just the camera that takes good shots, the camera is only as good as the photographer.:nod

I have had the T1 for about 6 months now and it is an awesome P&S. I just recently bought my Sigma, but these two camera are for two totally different purposed. I have not seen a P&S that compares to the T1 for size and picture quality. Agree with Pete great shots like his are possible with it. But the person behind the camera helps with it alot also:wink

It takes more than the camera , I have this T1 an 828 and soon to be the proud owner of a 20D.
Cannot wait.:rofl

I bet you cant wait for the 20D. From everything im hearing its a helluva camera. I felt the same way waiting for my Sigma.
Dont get me wrong about the T1 either, ithas more ability to get the shot that you are looking for in a whole lot of different situations and do so with a surprising quality. Probably has more features on it to customize a shot than the average user doesnt know how to use that those features that they would know how to use. It took me 6 months to really dig into it and play and realize that its a very versitile camera. I was just reating it as another high res P&S. Anyways im glad someone else out there feels the same way about it that I do. BTW I have alot of the pictures that I took with my T1 on my smugmug page. Be forewarned though that all the photos outside of the photography category were taken as snapshots with no regard for composition. Some decent ones in the photography section though. Just check which camera each photo was taken with to find the T1 photos.
