This little bug can give a nasty bite, i was lucky enough to get the light just right to get this wonderful effect in the eyes.

The rainbow effect in its eyes is awesome. Bugs eyes is the thing I've had the worst trouble with. I really haven't figured out how to get them to come out well, yet.

is this with a 250d or some other close up setup? Most of my bug work is with some kind of close up lense and the Sony F828, this one is using a 250D and a Hoya +4 combined, it can be difficult to get a good AF so i shoot as many shots as possible. This was one of only three before this bug flew away , got lucky i guess.
Here is a couple of examples using the Hoya +1 only as a close up Tele lense.

great photo of the bug, when it opened up on my screen, I thought it was going to jump out at me!
I love the color across the eyes, nice work.
