Hi
I am trying to find a place to take some pics that has either big wooden Mexican doors or swinging saloon style doors. Does anyone know of a restaurant, hotel, friendly neighbor...that has one of these? If not, any other ideas on getting that Texas style without being gimmick-y?

Giselle,
there's always Tombstone, AZ.

Not sure if you meant "In Texas" or not, but there are a couple if you plan on takin' a road trip. Good luck!

The first one isn't much of Texas style, we hang most of our ropes from trees...just kidding!! ....no one yell at me!
Those are cool shots buts I need something in the area for a portrait session.

Giselle,
About the only mention of "swinging saloon doors" in the Houston area, refers to the the famous "Gilley's" (used in the movie, "Urban Cowboy") which burned down in 1989.
Apparently, there is a new, "Gilley's" which you might call to see if the Saloon doors might have been included, although not likely.
I would contact the local capenters to see if any know of specialty doors. Also check local lumber yards and building and material suppliers to see if they know anything. If you spread out the word, somebody will be able to help out.
Good luck,

I have been to the new Gilley's, but it was so long ago, I can't remember. I do remember a bunch of wood, I will have to drive by again and see. Thanks for the ideas
