Had some excellent sunlight not too long ago (the magic hour) and decided to take some pics at my parent's farm in Delafield, WI...

BTW-- the amount of new posts is directly related to my newly purchased SmugMug accout...

these are my favorite flower, playing around with light and background etc.
Not sure if it was what I was after!!!
I could fiddle a bit more in photoshop, but new to that and am not too sure!

Thanks....

I was completely surprised at the quality of shot I got with my POS, Toshiba camera...The sunlight was perfect and made for excellent color...

I really like the color in your shots as well; but, it looks like someone needs a smugmug account... :deal

BTW HappySnapper--

how do you like that A1 camera ? I've been lookin' for a good deal on one of thoses; I had a buddy who used to work for Minolta and I, unfortunately, had to pass on an excellent X-Mas sales promo for that camera last year... I regret it terribly..

I really love the A1, but as I said before I am only new to digital photography. Only bought my camera approx 4-5 months ago, and have not experimented much at all. But am starting to get into trying different things. I find this web site unbelievably inspiring and informative!!! gets me motivated to get out there and to look at everything through the possibility of the lens.
The A1 is a great camera for a number of reasons, the shutter speed is good (doesnt lag like others Ive used), the anti shake function works well (especially in close ups), and its lightweight and fits nice and snug into your hand.... plus lots more (some of which I am yet to discover). Oh and the price was right!

Im sure though we all love our own cameras, thats why we chose them!
