Wow, damn. Harry, you need a 200mm lens, that 500mm is just too easy for you. You need a tougher challenge :wink
Excellent images of excellent subjects! Now if we can only get rid of the snow and ice around here.

Really nice series, Harry!
And I see you have TWO eggs in "your" nest!
I did not get back there (magnolia) this weekend, this was Bill's only day off. His frames distructed during the night, so after I shot the baptism the afternoon was spent getting his "newish" lenses put into some new frames. He works tomorrow.
I may go some morning, back to Magnolia. This is such a frustrating time of year for me. Bill is working and on the road all the time. This next week, it is Florence, Savannah and Jacksonville, plus......... and I am afraid to go there in the evening, I will stay and be terrified. I may go some morning, but I can't get in at first light. They open at 8:30 or 9, not sure which.
I did shoot some little birds around my own yard. Smile. Lots of that activity later in the day. The trees are greening up all over. I love that new green look. However it will hide a lot of what I have managed to see.
We do have seasons around here, no glorious falls, but definite springs (glorious).
You have an excellent series there!

I see your egrets are trying to outdo Ginger's egrets!:rofl
Some excellent shots there, as usual. That's some vivid green, and the posturing is unreal!

Hey Greg,
The green lore is a sign that they are in mating mode. They green lore is not present the rest of the year. All the birs have coloration changes during matingseason with the cattle egret going through the most dramatic change.
Here's a cattle egret in non-mating mode

now notice the transformation during mating season

I don't sell pics to stock agencies so I can't hep you there. You should get an answer if you post it in "Mind Your Own Business".

Thanks for the kind words. Actually the 500mm is way too much reach for most of the photo ops in the rookery.
