Ch 61 (BW in Color): help me choose, please!

The eggs & tomato doesn't look too sharp, good shot though.

I like the shadow of the last. I reckon if you could combine the sandal from the 3rd with the setup of the last you'd have a winner.

You're correct, the DOF is a bit too shallow. For some reson I started with macro setup in mind :dunno Prolly need to redo from a larger distance.

I like the shadow of the last. I reckon if you could combine the sandal from the 3rd with the setup of the last you'd have a winner.
It's the same sandal :D And I tried laser on #3 - it gets consumed by the reflection of the flash :dunno

I hope so too. In fact, I had more ideas than that but the implementation didn't come out as I hoped, so I decided to concentrate on these four. As Adrian mentioned - it's not only have to match topic requirements, it also has to be a decent picture all by itself:-)

My first impression was of the eggs and lemon, and I thought, how clever... I think it might be more interesting, if instead of an afterthought as it appears currently with the lemon stuck in the back, if part of the lemon was sticking up in the front on the left as the "star" of the photo it might work best.

I think of the shoes I like the laser sandal best, and of the two themes I think I prefer the shoes.

My reasoning for putting lemon/tomato in the back was that I wanted to create an impression of pure b/w image first and only then "hint" the viewer that it is, in fact, a color one.

I found #1 & #2 a little too colorful. The eggs seem to have a pinkish/orange tint. #3 & #4 seem more black and white. Of those two I like #4. :thumb

Personally, I like no 4 - just the way the shoe's shadow rusn across eth shot and there still enough detail in the shoe itself.

That was exactly my reasonings to include it into the "set": that long delicate shadow makes all the difference, IMHO...
