Last August I was in Alaska with Troop 400 of Pacific Palisades, CA. It was a great trip, here are a couple of shots.

Gary

Beautiful shots, last one is my favorite. One of my friends live in Alaska, I might go visit him this summer, he says its a beautiful place and the photos sure do prove it.

Great photos. Reminds me of the time I spent 8 months in the Yukon. I love the North.

We flew into Anchorage. Granite Creek - where we camped for two days was about 1 1/2 - 2 hours away, then we went to Seward where we stayed at a campground right on the water.

Thanks very much, you'll love it. I also like the last shot. We passed that vantage point right before we stopped for gas. I got out of the car and ran back up the road - I thought it was a great view.

I've been in the Yukon twice, quite a place. I was up there with a group of guys I do an outdoor trip with every year. Last time (2 years ago) we canoed down the Yukon to Lake Lebarge. What a trip.

#1 seems a bit hazy in the distance. Maybe it's just my monitor.

#3 is very good.

# 4 is Excellent. Looks very enticing and mysterious!

It was hazy - morning was kind of misty. Thanks for the comments. I am still going through the shots from the trip.

Thanks for sharing these, Gary. As I wrote in a reply to Prezwoods, I love to see images of Alaska. It looks like a remarkable place to be, and I hope I'll see it in person some day.

My pleasure! Thanks for your comments. Make sure you make the trip - it is a special place (as is your country - my parents took me to Europe when I was in High School 40+ years ago. We did get to Amsterdam.).

Gary
