Anyone have some input on which of Manfrotto's heads all take this 3157N platehttp://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/emoticons/confused.gif

I'd kinda like a simple/small but strong Manfrotto head for my Giottos MT-9170 pod.
Also like to have a 3157N plate to match my 3229 MonoPod head.
Thus easy/fast swap tween the Tri and my Mono.

Maybe get another 3229? My 10D with BG+2 batts and Sigy 105 macro weighs in at exactly 4lbs!! Will it handle it???:dunno

my advice is get the http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=303591&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation and save the monopod plate for your lens mounts. and use the tripod plates for your camera and grip:thumb
