Challenge 23 - Kate's look at time

I'm finding this challenge really difficult - i'm inspired by Ginger, who has so many, its not funny! :wxwax:D
whilst searching for 'time' related subjects, I thought i'ld pop around to the local lake and check out these gentlemen sailing their model boats. (the idea was old timers, racing the clock ... that kind of thing) it was wonderful! the banter between them during the races was very funny! and they were all very kind. let me know what you think ....

I tried to speak to these boats and the old men last night. My computer threw my response away.

I really like the last shot. Don't know if it speaks to time enough, though it certainly does speak to play time.

One suggestion I had, if you could go back, was to have one or more of the old men holding their boat, an obvious toy.

That would tie them and the boats together and make playtime more poignant.

Yes, I agree with Lynn, I too prefer the color one. The boats don't have the same nice composition.

out of all your shots in this thread, I like this one the best.... I love the angle on which you took the photo and the black and white looks classic. I also like the way the hands are in focus, yet the numbers are slightly out of focus.. again adds a classic feel to the photo.

i liked part-time bw ... it needs some bw punch though, take a look in the hall of wisdom or in photoshop shenanigans for my bw links....
