friend has it...i've used it once or twice...

it works decent for what it does, great if you're in the car. you can just put it on the window, or *say* in a game you can put it on the bleachers/wall and don't have enough room for a tripod, or floor for those extreme perspective shots.:wink

Came up on here once but never saw anything about it again. If you are looking to use it in the car shooting out your window you can just use one of those styrofome noodles for the pool. Cut a piece about 6-12 inches long and slice it down one side so it will fit on the glass of a rolled down window. Learned that one at Merrit Island.

I've used it on safari in Botswana. In the vehicle I was in, there's no doors/windows, but there are bars. There's no room for a tripod, so having the Pod resting on the bar next to you is a nice solution. I always carry it in my Crumpler December Quarter, and I've also used it to rest my lens on a pole or something like that.

it's rather cheap...so I might break down for one. I'd rather not lug around a tripod ALL the time. I use to use all sorts of stuff as make shift tripods with my point and shoot....like fences...street signs...rocks...this thing just eliminates that.

Did anyone see the similar product at PMA this year? It looks like a giant sack of goop (almost like a wrist rest from a mousepad) with a mounting screw on it -- its wonder is that it apparently sticks to "any surface" for "at least short periods." I guess it's kind of like the biggest booger in the world? Either way, it's pretty neat, even though it's not designed to support the weight of even the smallest SLR; it's marketed for P&Ss. Neat though!
