My gallery title always hugs right against my nav bar in Safari. I have tried to decrease the font size, no good. Now, I CAN move it down more, but that also moves it waaay down in the other browsers too. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Heheh.
Hey, BWG, explain me this: how is it that the only browser to pass the Acid 2 Test does stuff like that? I mean, really, I'm ignorant, and would like to know.

i dunno. i dont have safari to do any tests on.
all i know is that i've found some things just behave unexpectedly in safari. just ask andy, i pestered the crap out of him for 2 days to safaritest something on my website that was coded exactly to w3 spec (and working in IE and firefox). I finally had to just start throwing in random hacks to make it work.
Safari is also doing weird stuff with javascript. the same slideshow code works fine on one website in safari, but the exact same code wont work on another website. IE and firefox are fine.
who knows..every browser has it's deals. i put it below firefox and above IE in my official rankings.
(it also does weird things with png's (http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?p=260289#post260289))

Acid 2 is a nice to have test. However, much of the stuff in the acid 2 test is specifically designed not to be in the w3 spec. I for one would rather have a browser that supports the w3 CSS2 spec fully and accurately than to have one that has rendering problems and a bunch of CSS3 crap that I can't use (like multiple backgrounds).
And that safari png problem is infuriating.

Because Microsoft never loved a standard they didn't create themselves. In the event there is a standard they'll modify it anyway (look at the crap they tried with Java).
M$ doesn't care one iota about any web standard or compatability test.

Acid 2 does not use standards. Firefox, Opera, and others are not microsoft products.

Oh and Kerry, looking at your CSS I think that is the problem not any browser. I recommend you look over the tutorials and start from scratch.

i'm lost. are you saying that microsoft wrote safari and designed the Acid2 test? Or are you saying that since Apple wrote Safari and Safari passes Acid2 then Acid2 must be a standard?
all that seems like is a MS flame with no real knowledge of the topic of discussion.
and as mike said, firefox and opera are not microsoft products and they dont pass Acid2 either.
and since when is Java a standard?

Hmm, that CSS came from your own tutorials from the "CSS, Cobranding & You" thread way back when, on the first few pages. I copied it straight from that & havent changed a thing. :dunno
