Anyone have any experience with this lens? I'm wondering if it's a good value wide lens for my 20D.

I have the Nikon mount of this lens. I use it on a D200 and D70. I think it is probably a good value for the money. It was certainly a lot cheaper than the Nikon alternative, but I didn't have a chance to compare it to the other 3rd party lenses. The lens is a bit soft around the edges, even when stopped down. I don't think any superwide lens is going to be tack-sharp around the edges. It is sharp at the center of the frame, especially when stopped down. Overall, I think it is a decent lens. Mainly because it goes very W-I-D-E. Just my $.02. I hope it helps.

Hands on experiences are a big help - thanks!

When I spoke to the people at Sigma earlier, they recommended the 12-24 instead. The 10-20 will only work on non-full frame sensors, the 12-24 will work on everything.

Just a thought.

Thanks Jim, that's interesting - thanks. I don't really see myself going full frame, but you never know. :D It's about $110 more though. Also, I don't really know much about MTF charts but the 12-24mm chart doesn't look great to my untrained eye. :scratch
