I snapped this co-worker for an "employee of the month" poster. Please tell me what you think of it as a portrait. Thanks.

Hey Angelo!
You have captured her well, but the pic could serve from a little contrast/brightness-tweak. I tried just for the fun of it, increased brightness with +40, and contrast by +23 and topped with a slight s-curve (curves). It did the trick (for me atleast) :):
I´m sure she'll be happy with the pic!

Yes, to me it just looks like her face is too dark, especially when it's set off by such a bright background.

I think you did a good job with the photo.
I have a feeling her skin is darker than yours naturally.
That might be part of the reason her skin looks dark.
