View Full Version : gallery v. catergory stats: last updated

This may be something old, already discussed, or just misunderstanding on my part. But lately, I've noticed on my own as well as my mother's smugmug sites that the "last updated" field for the categories is, well, wrong. Shouldn't the date agree with the latest update for any gallery within that category? It doesn't.

Has no one else noticed this? Guess for once, I'll have to email smugmug help for the answer after consulting the forum with no luck.

I'm having the same problem too. My "last updated" date does not reflect the last time a gallery was updated within the category. It looks like the date is taken from whatever gallery is in the first position. Once I moved the updated gallery to the first position within the category, the Category's "last updated" date was changed to the correct date. However, moving the gallery messed up the position of the category on my home page (it moved from first position to last) even though I have it set to "sort categories by position". I had to move it back to first position.

Bump...almost made it to the 2nd page where it would have been in never never land. :D

I too moved my gallery from that first position and it is now up-dated. :dunno

Is this being looked into?

I update a gallery and the date and time does not reflect the change on the home page.

Until JT changes or fixes it (I'm not sure which) then arrange by most recent, I guess, if you want the updated time to show in the cat listing.
