Living only 30 mins from this lake is a great photographic opportunity, these are taken a different times. We have had a lot of snow over the last few days, i will go back to take pictures again next week.

The water is very cold but also crystal clear.

I live near the north side but the south side has some great skiing, this was taken at Heavenly. This one shot with the 17-85IS

You cannot go to Lake Tahoe without seeing Emerald Bay, one of the most spectacular places in the world

Some beauty shots for sure! Heavenly is a great place to shoot from. So's
the top of Squaw (but expensive to get there :)).

Great photos!

I was in Tahoe for a week a few years ago w/ some college buddies. Easily the best vacation I've ever had. That area is so incredible! We spent 4 days at Heavenly and I finally understood the name, some of the best skiing I've ever experienced. We spent another couple days cross country skiing and driving around the south end of the lake. Your photos all look very familiar. I have a great shot looking down the axis of the last peir in the background of that last shot of yours. I was really very proud of it. Unfortunately I took it w/ a very meh 2 MP digicam borrowed from a friend. It really doesn't scale or print well, which is a shame..

Very nice, beautiful water.

The water is crystal clear and ranges from Green to Blue depending on depth.
