Has anyone ever used this company?

I sighned up for a free listing at www.allweddingcompanies.com (http://www.allweddingcompanies.com) and have been getting referals from them. They seem to be a large all in one wedding service that from what it looks like get hundreds of thousands of hits daily. Anyway, you sign up with them and brides and grooms to be sign up with them, enter the location and date of the wedding and they pass the info to you. It is then up to you to call the person and offer your service. It sounds OK, esspecially since I keep getting referals. The thing is that you have to purchase the contact info for each wedding at $4.25 each or $25 a month. Also they offer a service for $250 a year that allows your website to be on their main page for your local area. In my area there are only 2 listed. They also promise to work to get your own website recognized by the search engines. That has been a serious problem for me, no matter what I search for (for example, Lakeland Florida wedding photographer) you will never find me. Anyway, if you use them please let me know...Dean

I have not used a service such as this....however...a simple suggestion....google for search engine optimizing or optimazation....there are a few free tools and then pick out 10 of the top search engines and go to work getting on them...if you do it your self it is free...or you can hire an seo company (search engine optimazation) and pay thru the nose for it....but be ware...none of them can truly gaurantee a top 10 listing everytime for ever...without buying the spot.

Try these sites. Most of them or all of them are free. I have gotten lots of hits from this. I also come up on google and the others pretty well...there is lots of free advertising out there! I found these by pretending I was a client. I typed in "your city...Photographer" and then clicked on all the links and added my free listing. It gets your name out there.

here is a site that will list you every month to hundreds of engines for $50 per year....I have not read this closely so I don't know anything about them....I used to do my site manually myself to just yahoo, google, altavista and a couple of others...since the big "G" & "Y" are the main 2 I would concentrate there for a while and also get listed in the above lists....if it is for free it is a good way to start.

The links to look for submitting a site usually are at the bottom of the search engine page and say something to the effect of submitting your site , or suggest a site for submission....YOU REALLY HAVE TOO LOOOOOK FOR THESE LINKS.....sometimes they are harder to find than the fine print in a legal document....I always save them in my favorites folder in their own folder maked URL Submission Sites.....this way on the 1st and 15 of every month I would go in an spend a little time filling out the forms.
