We went to Oxnard, and my camera froze (later fixed), so I missed the beach shots, but I got these:

Thanks, all!

It's been so long since I've had a chance to shoot, it was great to be able to hang out, visit with family and shoot.

Then the battery died, I switched, the other one was dead...ugh. Missed all the shots on the beach. Beautiful day, too.

David, I especially like the first and third ones. Colour, comp., and the parents' character are all there. The second one, of 'Mema', is a little too straight-on and 'flat' or maybe too bright, just doesn't say as much to me.

(and thank you for putting the apostrophe in the right place)

BTDT, hated it.

I had a dead backup at the GG bridge. So I stuck the one with the blinking "low batt" indicator into my pants to warm it up. I got another 10 shots of 20 seconds or more out of it. Heat = squeezing more juice out of it. Of course, that was a chilly evening.

I wish Dad's rigth eye was in focus. Other than that, it's a very handsome portrait - great color, what character!

No, no, I saved the shoot by warming the battery in my shorts. Very resourceful, I thought. :lol3

Thanks, Andy, and everyone else.

We had a great time today, me and dad, smoking cigars and shooting the breeze.

I've tried to shoot the breeze before, but never got enough contrast to make a good image.
