Well, I TRIED to, anyway. It was a late January midnight hour in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I took my Nikon E5400 and a green laser pointer to the beach to see if I could get some funky effects while shining some waves.
Rather tricky getting a decent exposure working with 1/2-second exposure time WITHOUT a tripod, but here's one result:

Those lasers are bright aren't they.
Considering you hand held it, it worked very well indeed:thumb

The green laser pointer I used in the shot is rated less than 5MW but, as our eyes are most sensitive to green, the relative brightness runs circles around a red laser pointer of the same power rating.
I do try to find new things to do with my "toys"--glad you liked the shot!
Those lasers are bright aren't they.
Considering you hand held it, it worked very well indeed:thumb
