I did this, and it worked, only now my logo banner has a purple edge around it. How do I make that go away?
Thanks!

:wave Hi Renee, welcome to Dgrin! I'm not seeing that. What browser are you using to see it?

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the quick reply. I am using SBC Yahoo, I guess that's IE. I am also typing some stuff into my CSS box to change colors, etc. and it's not changing anything.

a.title, .title, .imgBorderOn {
color: #8aa0ae;
}
.categoriesBox .boxTop { display: none; }
.box { background-color: black; }
I'm just cutting and pasting from the help pages. I really don't know much about HTML or CSS although I do try reading up on it here!
I would like a black background, my boxes to be black, and the titles to be #8aa0ae blue. I don't want the "gallery categories" to show. I would like to see how it would look if the background was #8aa0ae and just the boxes black.

Put this in to see:
body { background-color: #8aa0ae;}
BUT THE EASIEST WAY is to get FIREFOX and the FIREFOX WEB DEV TOOLBAR!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
You simply open your page in firefox, then click "edit CSS" in the webdev tool, and paste the above code in - and you see instantly! All without messing up your live site :deal
As stated in my FAQ:
http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=26043
Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org) and the Firefox Web Developer Tool Add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=60)

Andy,
Thanks! I am still seeing the pink/purple border around my banner logo. Maybe it's my eyes, or my browser, but the gallery titles still look gray rather than blue.
You are using firefox? I may download that one day.

Helooooo? I'm telling you - get it, and use it for these purposes :D
I use 19 different browsers IE, FF, Safari, Mozilla, Opera, Flock, you name it..
I see a purple line in IE. I see a nice grey border in FF. I see nothing in Safari.
Good question for the stylers...

Thanks for your help, I'll keep working on it! I really like yours with the slideshow homepage, is there a link somewhere to how you did that?
Thanks again,

OK Renee :D
Your border is gonnnnnneeeeee
FYI I added border="0" like this:
<div align="center">
<a href="http://www.reneesumner.smugmug.com"><img src="http://reneesumner.smugmug.com/photos/56472423-M.jpg" border="0"></a>
</div>

Wow! It sure is. And I had just downloaded Firefox too...no border in either. You guys are awesome, can't beat the support! I can't imagine why so many photographers pay $$$$ for "fancy" websites and probably have nowhere near the support we have here. Keep up the great work! :clap
