Hi folks, after lurking a while. time to post something.
I took these some time ago. The hoverfly was actually landing on my fingertip.
I took the pic's with my camera in one hand, while the hover whas landing on the other. No tripod used. Hope you enjoy them.

I live in Holland. Camera; Canon Eos 20D. The lens used on these pic's; Canon EF 100mm 2.8 macro USM.

You must have a steady hand....... good series.

Not bad at all!

I've tried that last summer, but those skittish hoverflies didn't like me.
