Not exactly a natural looking scene, but I thought I would share anyway. It's hard to get a near eye level shot of one of these guys. I think his rear is in focus instead of his head... oh well, I forgot to change the focus point.

Very Nice capture Thomas. :thumb You gotta take those raptors where you find them.

It's a good shot of the hawk but the background looks a little odd. Did you blur it in PS or is that just the bokah from the lens? I always have a hard time getting my focus on the correct spot, yours is just slightly off and I don't think I would have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.

Thanks for looking Harry & gluwater. The bokeh is natural. I was using the 300 2.8 with a 2xTC at f/5.6.

I'm right there with Harry on this one Thomas. You have to take those raptors as they are given. It doesn't happen all that often. So sharp tail feathers and soft eyes is much better than a picture of a bare powerline....lol Not to mention you were probably working with a 2 inch in focus zone.

You did well :thumb

Nice one Thomas. I think you're right about the focus, but looks nice anyway.
