For hours now I have been scanning the threads about Infrared Photography at this site and still cannot locate a set of basic steps to follow for the first time infrared photographer. Could someone please list me suggested camera settings, suggested subjects and expected results.
Incidentally I have a digital Olympus E300 camera with a Infrared filter which fits to the front of the lens.
Many thanks
Confused as usual.

With your setup:
1) find a nice scene, in broad daylight (12n - 3pm) bright sunshine, trees, blue sky
2) put camera on tripod. Compose.
3) put filter on camera.
4) Shoot scene. You will have a long exposure.
5) Post processing: http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1111417

Possible - but UNmodded, you have to use looong exposures. So very often you end up with blurry tree leaves :cry That's why I use a modded camera (http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1077118), can shoot at normal shutter speeds :D
