I'm a total newb, but I was able to follow some of the tuts I found about customizing. What I'm asking is WAY over my head, so I'm asking for help.

My name is Sonny and I own a small Youth Sports Photography business in Houston, TX. My website is clean & simple (less is more). To keep things looking professional I would like my smugmug site to look like my website (or as close as possible). I don't want the flash animation, instead I'd like to have the background, the center frame & border with the darker background color. Is this possible?

If you guys need them, I have all the PSD & FLA files.

Here's my website http://www.gametimephotos.com/ and here's my smugmug site http://www.sonnycantu.smugmug.com/

Hope someone can do this for me.
Thank you,
Sonny

EDIT: Clicking on the CONTACTS page screws up the other pages. Just reload the homepage to navigate to the other pages. Working on a fix.

So, do you want your boxes white, like on your flash site?

What else do you want to change?

I removed the SmugMug header, fixed a missing </a> tag in your footer, and put your header code in the header section where it belongs (not in the HEAD section).

Make a list of requests, and I and bigwebguy can help you on Wednesday. I'm heading off now (I'm in NY)...

Hi Andy,

After doing a little reading I was able to some customizing to my smugmug website.

1.) I'd like to put this frame around my gallery with the font color #a99a6d of the text inside the frame.
http://sonnycantu.smugmug.com/photos/52916105-L.jpg

2.) Remove the black dashed lines.

Thanks Andy,
Sonny

This part is done.

Let's wait for bigwebguy for advice on your other request please. He's stuck at home with a sick child but I'm sure he'll be along at some point.

ok sonny, Andy already got #2 for you and you really lucked out because my sick daughter has managed to stay asleep for more than a half hour.

the code i'm going to give you will not look exactly like the frame you wanted, but to do something like that would require doing the whole site in custom graphics and that's something that would have to be contracted out. However this will get you a real close look for 0% of the cost!

put this in your customization css:

#homepage .boxBottom, .category .boxBottom, #smugmug, #smugmug_small, #traditional, #allthumbs, #slideshow, #journal, #filmstrip, #singleImage {
border: 15px solid #ccc;
background-color: #fff;
padding: 10px;
}

.Small.singleImage, .Medium.singleImage {
width: 800px;
margin: 0px auto;
}

.Large.singleImage {
width: 860px;
margin: 0px auto;
}

.homepage .boxBottom .miniBox, .category .miniBox {
width: 300px;
}

.category .miniBox.albumLarge {
width: auto;
}

.title, .nav, a.nav, .foreground, .miniBox p.albumTitle .nav, .miniBox p.description, .miniBox p.updated, .description {
color: #a99a6d;
}

you will also want to go into your customization control panel and force your background color to be light. this will make sure that you get black cart buttons and other graphics instead of the white ones that won't show up on your white background.

if you have any more questions, post em quick before i run out of crown royal and my generosity disappears. :D
