OK I know it needs cropping, I just haven't come up with one I am happy with yet. The branch crossing in front of the frog is causing me problems
Taken at the reptile house at Dallas Zoo.
Thoughts/Comments etc on the picture otherwise?

wow, what color! It's almost blindingly flourescent.
with regards to cropping, how about this? (thought it'd be okay to show an example of the crop since it's hard to describe that)

WOW - Great color !! I haven't really looked at frogs closely ( ok, just kidding ! i have dissected less colorful ones in the remote past, I don't want to scare you off now !!) - but the underside is brown and boring is it ??! Cool ! I like digital faerie's crop - the black in the back is not contributing at all ..
thanks for sharing !

nice shot - dumpy green tree frog?
I love the way the color stands out against the browns of the background. I think you are right about the cropf and think digital faerie is on the right track, but I also like the feel of much of the background. Maybe just crop off the dark stuff on the right?
cheers,

Love the colors!!! Cool frog.
Fairie's crop helps and I thought of anther thing that might help. If you use photoshop (and other tools probably have similar tools) you might use a gradient to tone down some of that distracting background. I played around a bit with your shot (but might have used a little too much of my recommended idea) Here's my take:

Thanks for all the comments and the idea on the crop. I know I'll be trying some things tonight :):
I iwll also investigate that PS effect, it definitely has some possibilities

I like the lighting effect, I agree about toning it down. It really is a great shot to work with.
