A heron, a sooty, some gulls and a tern...

Was desperate to go out for a couple of hours snapping while the weather was bad for fires (though not good for photos).

Even the birds were scarce today...

There was just something conical, oops I mean comical about this crested tern and his choise of perch. Sorry for the humour attempt folks.

Nice captures. The Heron is nice and sharp. You might try dialing the exposure down 1/3-2/3 for the gull next time.
