View Full Version : google.icio.us?
so i'm playing around in my google search history today and i see this thing called bookmarks...either i've never paid much attention before or it's new. regardless, it's a way for you to "star" links in your search history so you can find them again later. sound fam.ili.ar? It doesnt have the social integration that del.icio.us has but it sure looks like a step in that direction.
am i late to the party on this?

As Mike said in this thread (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=22422&highlight=overlords),

You are a little late to that party but that's fashionable. So far I haven't been smart enough to find a really useful way to use the google bookmarking service. I just tag my pages on del.icio.us if I want them (although they sold their soul and servers to ya.ho.o).

right on. I'm dont have a useful reason to go tooling around in my search history so i have no idea how long this bookmark thing has been out there. I dont see much use for it as it exists now either, but they gots some smrt folks over there in googleland.

Keeping up with the joneses. I think the yahoo toolbar has had this for a while. I recall seeing it in 2004 when I was in Iraq.
