I was in Dallas in December for a business trip, and decided to visit the Zoo. Wnated to see the Tigers but they were kinda scarce in the cool weather, but I managed to get this picture shotting through the Bamboo around the pen. Thoughts?

Ineresting photo.........I know the limitations of taking photos at the Dallas zoo. I have been there once and I will not go back. I normally go to the Ft Worth zoo.
Back to the photo......I really think it lacks the focal point of the tiger itself. The bamboo is distracting. For the limitations that you were presented with.....Congrats.....its a good photo.....I just think it really lacks a good focal point.

I think it has potential. Maybe a much tighter crop on the Tigers face with a shallow DOF.

I had conflicting reports on both Zoo's, so decided to go with the Dallas rather than Fort Worth. I was in Irving, and it seemed the easiest one to get to from my hotel. I am likely going to be back in Irving in the spring so will head to the FW zoo next time.
As to the picture - Thanks for the comments. I have indeed cropped in closer on this picture and will post the result here sometime later tonight, no not tonight, bowling!.
I still like the picture and it will remain a keeper for my collection, just hope to get a better opportunity the next time I go 'hunting' :D
