I can not log off from my site.
The only way to do it is to clear all cookies, close window and then reopen. This way there is no saved cookie to keep me logged in.
What up with the site?

Hi brandofamily,

This thread belongs in SmugMug support, not Dgrin support, I'm moving it.

The site is fine. Let's get to your problem here, and see if we can debug.

Are you allowing cookies? Check your browser settings for that. You must allow cookies for the site to work. Are you only accessing your site via http://brandolinofamilyimaging.smugmug.com? No forwarded website, right?

SmugHelp on Cookies:

What system (Mac, PC)?
What OS?
What Browser?
Have you tried on a second browser?

Put all your cobranding into a text file, by category. (copy / paste). Then kill all your cobranding.

See if you still have troubles.

Better yet, get a 2nd broswer and use Firefox like we've been suggesting, you're life will be way easier as you customize your site :D

The reason that I ask is that sometimes, people frame their sites and it causes IE to be unable to log out (or log in for that matter). I tested you site with IE and it let me log in or out. Do you have any third party plugins like antivirus or "internet security" applications installed?

I'm running Norton's Internet Security on my PC, that's it.
I started to notice the issue as I/we added more customization.
The only way for me to log out is to clear the cookies. The log out. Is there a setting on the comp. that is messing something up.

It seems to be a local issue: It may happen only on your computer/browser for now. I tried your site, and i could log-in and -out successfully.

I took a look at your customization and since you are only using style sheet changes, I highly doubt that is what is causing the problem. Please try disabling Norton Internet Security and test (I once saw Norton block browsing the internet completely, since that is a highly suspicious actiivty). :)

OK when I disable The Norton Internet Security I get logged out as I should. Now I just need to figure out why NIS is keeping me from logging out.

:clap :clap!

Though I must say, you're making a mountain out of a molehill. You've done lots of customization and learning here, don't try and debug some crazy peecee protection scheme.. Leave your NIS the way you've got it, get Firefox, and stay Logged IN on IE and when you want to see your site Loggeed OUT, just fire up Firefox :D how easy could that be? :wink

How and where do I get FireFox.....Do I open it just as I open IE? Does is cause any known issues w/ security or does Norton's cover it as it does IE?
Lst one...How does it make this customization thing easier?

IE stinks. Don't use it unless you have to.

Firefox replaces IE and is more secure.

It makes the customization thing easier because Firefox behaves and IE doesn't. It's a bad egg.

Lastly, you get Firefox here. ( www.mozilla.org)

Hope that helps!
