Cannot logout in Firefox [Sitemap] - Digital Grin Photography Forum

Now here's a weird thing... I can't log out of our site in Foxfire.

I click on logout and it goes through it's thing - I get this message:

"You've logged out! In 10 seconds, you'll automatically go back tothe page you were viewing (http://www.davidhobson.smugmug.com/)." But it doesn't actually log out. Closing Foxfire and reopening it doesn't help either - when I go to our site I am still logged in.

Any suggestions?

It's because you had an unclose <a tag in your footer customization. That is a big :nono

You have to close all <a > tags with </a> or your page will be b0rken...
Fixed.

Huh oh Andy - I spoke too soon. I still can't logout in Firefox, but I don't see anything else broken (not that I would know it if I did see it). Any other ideas?

I can logout fine, in Firefox, your site. Dunno what the issue is, but next I'd like you to do the following.

* clear all cookies
* delete your temp files (cache)
Shut down Firefox
Shut down computer
Restart
etc...

OK Andy, that did it. I had allowed Firefox to save the login info for that site, so I cleared that out also. Maybe that had something to do with it.

I can logout fine, in Firefox, your site. Dunno what the issue is, but next I'd like you to do the following.

* clear all cookies
* delete your temp files (cache)
Shut down Firefox
Shut down computer
Restart
etc...

Andy this is the exact same issue I'm having on my IE based PC...I have to continually clear the cookies to get to a logged off page.
