It's hasn't been above freezing since Nov 23 and the sun hasn't been out much. We've had several snow falls and I'm sure this big guy was looking for something to keep himself warm.

I was quite a ways away and on my way to my daughter's volleyball game but I was able to change lenses and capture this cropped image, albeit it's quite flat, but captures the actual lighting during the shot:

I really like the first pic-- if only the moose were just a bit bigger-- something very nice about it. Did you zoom on the second or is it just a crop?

The first was shot with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, the second was a 70-200 f/4 lens zoomed to 200mm and cropped.
