Great captures Harry. I really like that Grebe/Heron shot.

Since this forum does get twice the number of posts as any other forum is it worth considering splitting the forum into... say a bird forum and a nature/animal forum. Or limiting the number of posts or replies to a post?

Thanks Steve,

The grebe & heron shot is one of my favorites of my recent shots.

This forum has already been split once when landscapes were moved out of it. I would hesitate to further split it. The reason why landscapes were removed because it was a different kind of shooting from wildlife/nature (i.e., stepped down apertures). Birds and other wildlife are pretty much the same type of shooting. The only way to limit the number of replies is to close the thread which I'm not in favor of.

I hope that folks will look a posts on pages other than the first page and reply to some of the posts on the "back" pages too.

Thanks Jeff. We are so active because this kind of photography is so popular. If you look at the Cafe their wildlife forum is also the busiest forum there.

Just stunning, as always.
I love the Merganser shot, and the rest are beautiful. The sunset just makes you go ahhhhhhhh. The end of a beautiful day.

Hey Ric,

Thanks for the kind words. I have just finished a very, very busy period. At its end I found I had thousands of unprocessed pics. I have imposed a shooting hiatus on myself until I finish catching up on the old shots.

I'm just finishing up my work on my October shots, leaving only November and December to go (around 3500 shots). :uhoh

Harry, I'm not being gracious I'm being dead serious, you have got to put together a book. Put that stuff together, approach a publisher, and get a book made. I know I'd buy a copy.

hoping this message finds you well -Ian

Thak you Dana. I'm still hoping to get some better meganser shots if I can get a little closer to them (not easy).
