1- What light meters are you using for your work?

2- Are you finding that even tho you shoot at the same iso as you did with film that you must meter differently?

3- do you prefer spot meters as opposed to a non spot meter?


looking to re-invest in a new meter and wanting advice from those that are more adept in digital than I.

I am using a Sekonic. I generally do not spot meter. The Sekonic supports
both incident and reflective metering modes.
I don't meter anything differently.

1- What light meters are you using for your work? Sekonic Flashmate L-308S.
It's an entry level model, but is serves my needs very well. Thus far I am totally happy with what it does.

Erh.. Not sure what is the question..:dunno Most of the current light meters have several metering modes. They also can be fairly advanced (like act as RC for your strobes, etc.)

Thanks.Good luck! There are probably as many light meters as there are cameras, so choice can be tough.
I went after a known brand first (Sekonic), and then narrowed it down to my needs: incident/reflected, flash/ambient, ISO.
For my strobes I'm using PW-plus, so it's not a big deal to take it off the shoe and carry with me as a trigger when I'm checking the lighting. Of course it would be nice to have the light meter serving as remote trigger, too, but in that case it would be way more expensive :rolleyes
