they just added a 17-85 IS USM lense with the 20D, BUT they also discontinued the 18-55 kit and they bumped the price up to 1999. just wanted to get your guys' opinions on this new kit change.

They have always had the a 20D with 17-85 IS USM. Looking on B&H, they still have the 18-55 kit with the 20D.

really??. then this kit was just now brought to my attention. i hadn't seen it in all of my B&H searching.

Well, they had it when I was looking at buying my 20D back in March. I remember seeing the one with the 17-85 IS, and not being able to afford it...So I got the 18-55 kit.
