Hi Y'all,
On Monday I got to shoot with a fine photographer and a heck of a nice guy Louie Champan from Newcastle, Washington.
Here's Louie stalking a limpkin

Then I spied this fella on a tree half way across the wetlands. We drove over there and I managed to get a few shots in but poor Louie was a few seconds late and got shut out. http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/bncry.gif

Louie, you should ask for your money back. When I used to take Harry shooting in Manhattan, I'd always be sure to get him filled with Starbucks in the morning and Ribs in the afternoon :eat

Thanks Mike. Sorry for the delayed response but we had a power surge and my cable modem got fried. No problema . Sorry to hear about your modem. That sucks!! It's sad and pathetic how dependant I've become on my 'puter. I'm lost if the powers out for very long. :wxwax Glad you're back up and running/posting.

You get the Eagles and the cool looking birds and I get the Sparrows.....yeah that sounds about right to me :rofl dang it Harry ya know I wanna come to Florida just soooooooo bad.
How lucky were you guys hey ........ is there gaters in those waters :huh
Check out the size of that snail in the birds mouth.
When I was in Ohio we went to the pet shop to buy a couple of snails for my friends outdoor fish pond, and I was gobsmacked when we walked over to the tank with the lady from the store to retrieve them from the tank.
I'd never seen snails this big ever :eek1 I wondered where the heck do they put the engines :lol4 Harry you always have wonderful birds to share with us, and I'm so glad you do :lust Skippy (Australia)

hey Skippy,
Yes, there are gators in those waters
http://behret.smugmug.com/photos/17022292-L.jpg
The limpkin's favorite food is those snails. You can alwats tell that a limpkin is around when you see a pile of snail shells by the edge of the water.
Thanks for the kind words.

Yea, I kind of had a panic attack when I looked at the modem and all of the lights were out. I had nothing to do. I almost cracked and came close to turning on the TV.

Thanks Steve. I was very ahppy to get the shots that I did. I wasn't expecting the eagle to take off the moment I get the lens trained on him.
