I'm looking to improve this and maybe get a couple more shots but the weather has not been agreeing with my plans.

hehehe... it'sthe look on her face that sells it as an invitation more than an insult... i'm not sure if that doesn't disqualify it as being "the brid" or not though.

and I thought I had two birds... one in the Dean Martin sense and the other, well, you know...
but an invitation, hmmm, now I've got two things to do: take another shot and find out how big her fiance is... :uhoh

I wondered who would be the first to capture a shot of this not-so-rare bird.:):
And it's great that you were able to find it in it's natural environment.:rolleyes

Me too. Only I figured it would be me, when I snuck it into the challenge at the last minute. :lol3

I thought is was that FAT diamond next to it that made it look more like an invitation to the right person.

Well, maybe we you could get her fiance to come up behind her and give herthe bird without her knowing? :D

i really love it. i think it's a creative interpretation of the "bird" theme. plus i love the look on her face. it balances the middle finger making it not be offensive. great job. i think you should submit it..

This is a great photo and it answers 2 questions I had about the interpretation of the "bird" and the other usage of it. I know this is not where one votes but this photo is easily the best - great model, humour, colouring, and effect. Two thumbs up. Bruce:clap

Much love to ya my friend! Your words mean a lot to me (and bloat my photo-beginner ego :D).
Some stiff competition out there, it's nice to know I won't get goose-egged. And, of course, pun intended.
peace,

As of last check I prefer easily ten shots to my own (that have been entered in the challenge). Another handful are on the bubble, or, competitive with mine (in my own eyes). So, I would be honored and shocked to see my own shot make the showdown. Damn... ten shots and honestly I can't see mine in the mix; unless, somehow, the varied theme interpretation carries a great deal of weight more than I could expect... my vote will be going to the funky herring (the bird with green legs doing the strut) nonetheless.
peace and thanks for the feedback... see y'all round the challenge nest again soon,
Rich
p.s. anyone have any ideas on how to reveal to my subject that she's now "on the web"... what a privacy violation, aye!?
