View Full Version : Popups on smugmug?

I think a popup may have been added to either smugmug or, more likely, one of the custom things I have added to my site. I thought it was my computer or spyware at first so I ran antivirus and antispyware software and they didn't detect anything. It doesn't show up on any other site other than smugmug and often the popup has text that mimics text on my smugmug site. I'd be curious to see if anyone else can see this when they are on my site. My site is ZRPhoto.net for anyone who might want to help me figure this out. Thank you.

Need to see EXACTLY what is happening show a screenshot and also the exact steps, clicks, you are making to see the popup. SmugMug doesn't add popups.

The pop-up looks like adware from a browser addon, or some other software running within Firefox. I would check your addons (to make sure you don't have anything running there), and also try loading your site in Google Chrome (if this issue is browser-specific, you shouldn't see it there).

Definitely something local on your computer - not anything from SmugMug.

I didn't figure it was from smugmug specifically. I was thinking more that it's coming from one of the third party customizer. I installed and ran google chrome and had it there as well.

If you just installed chrome it may have pulled whatever is running that popup from firefox if you had it import your information.

I may have figure it out. When I disable the statcounter script it stops showing up.
