I attended the Jim Clark Rally and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I could have improved on these photos.
Many thanks
Bob

I would like to see a closer crop on all of these. The sign really does add to the images but the image is still very busy. Either get the sign in and crop tighter or remove it in the crop.

These images seem very pixelated. Could this be caused by over-sharpening, very tight cropping within a much larger image to bring the subject closer (suggesting you weren't close enough), and/or excessive brightening of a dull image?

The composition of the images themselves is very acceptable, although I would have preferred to have been much closer to the action!

Thanks for those replies. I probably have over done it with the sharpening. Unfortunately I was unable to get any closer. I was using a 70-200 F4. I have checked the focal length and see it was 131. I should have zoomed in further. I appreciate those comments.
Thanks again
Bob

Good timing on the shots. Every time gets better. Rally sure is fun isn't it? The rally race in my little corner of the world is run in the snow of winter.

It can be so interesting photographing events in the snow as it changes the scene so dramatically. Here is an example for you. The first two are from the Galloway Hills Rally and the thirs one is from the Snowmans Rally Inverness, Scotland.

Cheers
