After reading posts from folks here, it sounds like you must use bright sunny day settings to shoot the moon. Otherwise it's overexposed. Makes sense, I guess... you're shooting sunlight bouncing off a light colored object.

Nice shot. A question, though. The moon itself is very vivid, almost too bright. Did you punch it up a bit in post?
...it's two shots. Cut the moon out of one and put it in this one. The moon in this shot was just a white ball.
