thanks the story is like this .I want to thank Bud ,a great guy and an outdoors man .As I got out of my truck he said --stated above .The 3 of us took off ,on the way he told us he saw a hawk take a squirrel down and he walk up to with in a few feet of him .We went to the spot of the kill and no bird ,that is when he said he flew to a tree [it was a bush ] and we all looked and nothing as we turned to leave a movement :huh there he was on the ground with his kill Ben and I crawled around the bush and shot him --very grey dark day and he was under the bush --so here we are 10 feet from from one of my best moments in upclose wildlife [right up there with chasing bears in yosemite :rofl ]and very hard exposer .I always give the animal his due never take more than you need, always leave before you scare or make the bird in this case so scared they never come back .So I said lets go leave him to eat .Then Ben pointed out that our shots from under the tree not so good [he was right ] the bird came out in the open but did not fly. My shot was from as far as you could get away and have a clean shot in the undergrowth .Ben has head shots that are great ,he was very close :thumb the bird came out his side :1drink then off we went and left him be and not get greedy and shoot and shoot .I only have 3 good shots but I also have a great memory and he had a meal .

- definitely belongs on the calendar together with your sunset image on the Assignment #1 that I just looked at. But the bird, oh geee. I have one question, did you go on calmly with the shoot, or did you race home to look at it on screen?
