Just thought I'd share my recent DIY remote controlled Camera Slider and Follow Focus assembly.
Of course, this is to allow shots that come from side to side or front to back, as the below video shows.

I plan on changing the drive motor with a faster motor. Current one is 12RPM and I would like it to be a bit faster.
Also plan on changing to two different controllers. The remote (present control) I can change to a "latch" which will allow me to simply press the Go button once and it'll run until I punch it again. The new controller that I am adding is for the Follow focus. I will be able to control it's speed as well as direction.
Nice thing is I can easily move the Drive motor to freewheel and just push the assembly by hand if noise is a concern.
The works:
1. two light stands with super clamps.
2. 6' piece of 3"x3" T6 Sq. Al. Tubing.
3. Carriage built with 3"x3" T6 Al Angle
4. Roller blade Wheels and bearings.
5. Old spare Ball-head.
6. 12v rechargeable battery
7. Figerelli remote controller
8. Self built Dual-H Bridge Motor Driver
9.12v motors; (1) 4 rpm; focus, (1) 12 rpm; drive wheel
10. 4 inch and 2 inch drive wheels, interchangeable for incremental speed adjustments.
11. Lots of servo wire and ty-wraps.

Feel free to comment, critique, ridicule or realize I'd rather do this than clean that mirror I shot into!
