Looks like the team is especially busy hunting down problems this month.
They hopefully get it under control soon.

The same here. I have entered a competition and now my photo cannot be viewed!!! And I might be excluded from the competition!

This is not the first time!

Smugmug, do something!

My site looks okay, but I can't login. Hopefully that means they are on the track to fix it!!! :wink

Thanks in advance.

It seems this today's downtime was for smugmug to start deploying the much-anticipated themes. Only a couple are available right now, but the Halloween theme looks great on my site. Very classy - good job. Looking forward to more themes coming down the road.

sorry to say that I didn't experience this much/frequency of downtime with other photo sites. very much so not a good thing. and no advanced warning...tho this one was planned so we could have been told ahead of time. sure doesn't work for me.

I feel the same way, but when I voice that opinion, it is sometimes met with harsh criticism form the smugmug loyalists.

Look, this is the way I make my living. I need a dependable host--especially when I am paying them $100/yr + 15%! At the rate my orders ar tracking, I will be paying them well in to 4 figures this year.

I'm disappointed. This is my busy season (football), and I can't afford the perception that I'm unreliable.

some sites don't innovate as much as smugmug - i was in front of a bunch of reporters being interviewed at the exact time this thread was started :uhoh anyhow, [url=http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=180028&postcount=16]it was all worth it :thumb

thanks for writing - i think, what the smugmug crew did earlier this week (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=20219) is really going to pay big dividends for all of us.

yea, kitchens are hot.. and heat happens...they need to be able to take it. Both issues were not due to acts of god...so they shouldn't have happend. Simple to do the math. I'm not trying to be harsh...clear and concise. fluff is for the marketing department.

Andy - I'm getting "Photo Not Found" in the tail end of my "Other" galleries so something is going on - The images were there earlier this afternoon. This is kind of like what happened to me the other day too.

Earlier today I was getting "Photo not found" when others were reporting it was OK. It occurred to me to try emptying the browser cache...then it was fine. So try that. I guess the browser was hanging on to the proxy images from when it was down.

I just clicked page three of one gallery and getting only half of the thumbs, rest show text. Reload pops in few more but two still missing.

I find that they won't load the first time, but load after a refresh, if that helps at all. Definitely broken, though.

I'm having problems with missing images in my gallery as well. It almost appears like you have a server in the load balancer not serving out content.

Ok...its just started with mine also.

One of the easiest ways that I've spotted things like this, is to open up a gallery with a hundred or two pictures in it-- then choose "all thumbs". Consistently shows missing images.I did a page detail, and here is some debug information that might be useful for your tech support... It's a capture of the network transaction of an unloadable jpg. Hope this helps! BTW, I see that there is no HTTP reply headers.. might lead to a solution on your side.

I've seen this and had at least two complaints about people not being able to see my linked shots. DavidTO posted one and then deleted it and also see here: http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=180198&postcount=6

That B&W has a quite large original. Could this be relevant?

A lot of red x's on my site. Many refreshes to see and sometimes you have to right click and choose open picture. Not good.

Also, in checking out the themes, I was huh, nothing special, then I realized it wasn't fully loading.

So, I'm having issues also.

Once resolved, I'd like to know why... More for curiosity than anything-- I am guessing a load balancer configuration, but that's just my guess :)

I'm getting some captions where thumbnails should be. Not just my site, but others as well. Obvious that there are system wide problems and hopefully these are the things being worked on. I see that Andy says they're on it, just hopefully this is part of the "it".

I had the problem about 15 minutes ago when I read Pathfinder's Ch 7 LAB post. How recently is this supposed to have been fixed?
