i just got the most wonderful of emails, from kodak, telling me that my photo,

"the haircut"

http://www.moonriverphotography.com/photos/2267947-L.jpg

was chosen as kodak potd for monday july 26th. woot-toot i'm so happy becuase of a couple things.... i love the photo, my wife loves the photo, my kid loves the photo.... it's another "movement" in a still image shot, which i really dig, and it's shot handheld, 1/25th second, at iso 400 with a sony f828, a camera that the dslr-elitist snobs say can't shoot above iso 64.

anyhow, thanks for letting me pat myself on the back :D

Super congrats! And well deserved, the look on the face, the eyes, and the blur of the hand are just a perfect combo.

Sounds great, but one thing. I have a 700sq ft apartment in San Francisco. We will just have to close down the street and have a block party!! Time to clean off the grill.

Congrats, Andy, pretty soon you'll own that jumbotron! Did you do any noise reduction, or is that what the image looks like at 400?

Wow, that's quite a venue, as opposed to the usual site POTDs that only the site visitors ever see. Congrats, or should I say mega-congrats! Great image.

Lynne
who shot top quality with a 2 mpx Oly 2100 for year; it's the carbon unit behind the viewfinder that makes the difference :wink
