I visited Alcatraz a week ago and have just finished processing the pictures.
I feel that B&W is suitable conversion since Alcatraz feel cold and lonely to me.
I would really appreciate some constructive criticism on these pictures.

Alcatraz. One of the loneliest places in the middle of a thriving
metropolis...

I think B&W is appropriate for these shots. But I'd like to see something
more contrasting. I.e.; the contrast between inside and outside in the
first and second--so instead of exposing for the outside, expose for
both and give us a hint of what it's like to be locked inside.

The third, same thing. And maybe a longer exposure would have given
a ray of light from the ceiling?

Ironic is nice for the motion it contains. Some pause to reflect what it
must have been like while others scurry on by.

I'd like to see Empty in a vertical crop.

Nice work. Enjoyed seeing a different side of Alcatraz.

Thanks for the feedback Ian.
Some very good idea. I don't know why I can be so narrow minded sometimes in my shots. I need to keep reminding myself to try different things in the future.

While I don't have vertical shot of "Empty", I'll try the vertical crop in PS.

You're welcome.

I wouldn't describe the shots as narrow minded by any stretch of the imagination.
