Now thats alot peerrrrtier than the ones I tried. I really didnt realize how hard it is to get a good shot of the flamigos. It is! The perspective and spacial of the background make a difference! I found it hard to find the right place to frame the pictures when more than one flamingo was in the pic. nice one!:thumb

Do they sorta dance like Ostrich's do?
I am looking forward to a trip to the Zoo this summer.......your Flamingo's are very inspiring....though I don't recall seeing any at the Melbourne Zoo ??

Nice series.......sometimes they look so pink and other times they look pale......wonder what makes them have the pink pigment?
Do you know ??? Skippy (Australia)

Nice shots, Bluey. Why didn't you post them in the "nature & Wildlife" forum? More particular....the "reflectins" post?

Excellent shots...and perfect material for the above post. You should also share these pics there...me thinks. :thumb :thumb

They get the pink pigment from the algae they eat or from eating other animals that have eaten the algae. I wonder what would happen if you dyed the algae blue?
