I have been working on my site for the past 8 hours. I have spent 90% of that time on this forum, looking for a solution to my problem.
I cannot seem to get the space between my custom drop down navbar and my header to disappear. I want them on the same line, similar to the Moonriver site.
I know that this issue has been addressed, but I have tried every way I have found on here to fix it and it just will not work. I am assuming it is a problem within my code.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
((Please excuse my messy site.))

For that you need to use #7 from here:
You show our header and replace the logo with your own. For the whole header and nav bar portion just use the code from here:
That should help get you going.

I think you need to ignore the previous answer from Smug Eric as it is not how you're doing things at all (you are not using the smugmug header) and have very different issues.
You have a bit of a mess right now. There are two problems. First, your navbar HTML is in the wrong place in advanced customization. You have it in the HEAD section and it needs to go in the Custom Header section.
Second, you have a banner in Easy Customizer and a navbar in custom HTML. You can't easily put those two on the same line. To do that and preserve your drop-down navbar, you'll have to remove the banner from easy customizer and define one in your custom header. You can see how I've done my compact header in the custom header here (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=194009). Follow those directions and you should be able to get what you want. You navbar uses different navbar code, but that's OK, just keep what you have and add the float:right to it. After rearranging to do it like in that post, post back if you have further questions.
